Who is eligible?
Mrs. Michigan Galaxy ® – Married as of the the start date of the pageant finals. Age 20 & over.
Ms. Michigan Galaxy ® – Unmarried, age 30 & over as of December 31 following the Galaxy International finals.
Miss Michigan Galaxy ® – Unmarried, age 19-up as of December 31 following the Galaxy International finals.
Miss Teen Michigan Galaxy ® – Unmarried, 13-18 as of December 31 following the Galaxy International finals.Entrant must be a naturally born, genetic female. Married entrants must be married to a naturally born, genetic male.
How do I enter?
There are two ways to enter the Michigan Galaxy Pageant™:
Preliminary Pageant.
Visit our Prelims Page to see if there is a preliminary pageant in your area.At-Large Entry.
If there are no preliminary pageants in your area, you may enter the pageant directly. This is called “At-Large Entry”.You are NOT required to enter into a preliminary pageant in order to qualify for the state title. You can enter state directly or you can enter a preliminary, if you do not win the preliminary pageant, you are still available to enter the state pageant as an At Large Delegate.
When do I enter?
Deadlines are listed on the Delegate checklist.
Entry deadline is October 8, 2010. All required paperwork must be received. Program Book ads must be received (optional). Photo for the Official Program Book must be received. Delegates may use a different photo for the program book than their photogenic photo. Delegates will bring their photogenic photo with them to the pageant orientation. There are NO extensions to this deadline.
Is there an entry fee?
We regret that we must charge an entry fee. The total cost to enter into the state pageant is $495.00. The Michigan Galaxy Pageant™ is self-supporting and relies solely upon entry fees to cover production expenses.
What does the fee include?
Entry fee includes:
- Eligibility for all prizes & awards
- Official documents
- Cover letter & Press Release
- Some meals
- Pageant Program Book

- Travel expenses
- Lodging
- Competition wardrobe
- Production wardrobe

What does the remainder of my entry fee pay for?
The cost to produce the Michigan Galaxy Pageant™ is well over $10,000 U.S. The remainder of your entry fee pays for prizes, lodging for the Michigan Queens, judges and production staff, advertising in international pageant publications, theater and hotel rentals, printing, entertainment, choreography, production staff, consultants, sound and lighting, stage decorations, and many additional operational expenses.
What will I be scored in ?
Mrs., Ms., Miss and Teen are five equal categories: 20% Personal Interview, 20% Photogenic (we want you to LOOK like your picture, if you do not, you will be scored down), 20% Swimwear, 20% Fashion Wear and 20% Evening wear. own.
May I seek a sponsor?
You may seek sponsors or you may pay the entry fee yourself. All sponsors are recognized in the Michigan Galaxy Pageant ® program book at no charge.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Payments by credit or debit card can be made by visiting the Michigan Galaxy Store by clicking the link at the top right on the home page. Payment may be made by personal check or money order. Checks & Money Orders should be made payable to: 3D Productions.

Is a payment plan available?
Yes. Delegates may pay the fee in full or may select a payment plan. A $50 deposit is required to initiate a payment plan. Payments of any amount must be made at least every 30 days until the total fee is received. Failure to remit payment every 30 days may result in loss of title and fees paid.
If I am unable to compete, will I be issued a refund or a credit?
No. Due to extremely high production costs, we are not able to return any payments. Please make sure you are able to participate in the Galaxy International Pageant (July, 2011) before sending any funds.
All fees paid to 3D Productions are NOT REFUNDABLE and NOT TRANSFERABLE in full or in part under any circumstances. This includes entry fees, advertising fees, pageant admission tickets and any other fees paid to 3D Productions.
Am I required to sell ads for the program book?
No. Program book ad sales are completely optional. Many delegates do sell at least one page of ads as the program book is a keepsake. But ad sales are not required and have no bearing on the outcome of the pageant.
Am I required to purchase anything else?
Yes. Every delegate is REQUIRED to purchase a division specific shirt for the division they are competing in. You may puchase as many items as you wish however you must purchase at least one shirt. Shirts are available at the Michigan Galaxy Store.
Am I required to stay at the hotel?
YES, you are required to stay at the hotel. No excuses will be accepted for being late. Hotel fees have been negotiated to offer you the lowest prices and we have a program to split rooms. If you desire to share a room, send email to Debra@MichiganGalaxy.com
What kind of prizes can I win?
Prizes are constantly being added as new sponsors come on board. Check the Prizes and Awards page often for updates.
Do all delegates receive a crown & sash?
No. Only State Titleholders win the embroidered sash and crown. Preliminary crowns and sashes are available!
